About This Product

Kodo millet is a small, hardy grain that has been cultivated across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and parts of Uttar Pradesh for generations in rain-fed, low-input conditions. It is a grain of tribal and rural communities that have depended on it as a seasonal staple for centuries. The grain is unpolished, meaning the bran layer is fully intact. After harvest by hand, it is sun-dried on open platforms, stone de-husked, and sorted by hand for purity. No polishing, no chemical treatment, and no preservative is used. Kodo millet is rich in antioxidants and B vitamins and has one of the lowest glycemic responses among cultivated millets. It is used as a rice substitute and in khichdi, pulao, and porridge.
