About This Product

Kodo millet is a small, hardy grain that has been grown across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and parts of Uttar Pradesh for generations in rain-fed conditions. It is known among tribal farming communities as a reliable crop that requires almost no irrigation and grows well even in poor soil. After harvest, the grain is sun-dried and stone de-husked before being roller-flaked to a thin, delicate flake. The bran is partially retained during flaking. No frying, no oil, and no artificial ingredient is used. Kodo flakes are rich in antioxidants and B vitamins. They are light, easy to digest, and well suited for porridge-style breakfast products.

How It's Grown & Processed

Farming Method

Rain-fed cultivation on poor, rocky soil in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. No irrigation needed. No synthetic fertilisers. Grown by tribal and small farming communities as a subsistence and seasonal crop.

Processing Method

Grain cleaned → sun-dried → stone de-husked → roller-flaked to thin, consistent flakes → bran partially retained → dried to low moisture → sorted and packed.

Storage Advice

Store in a cool, dry, airtight container. Kodo flakes are delicate — seal well after opening and consume within 2 months. Keep away from moisture.
