About This Product

Pearl millet, or bajra, has been the backbone grain of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh for centuries. It grows on sandy, low-nutrient soil in dry conditions where very few other crops survive. After harvest, the grain is cleaned, sun-dried, and roller-flaked to a consistent thin flake with the outer bran retained. No frying, no oil, and no artificial additive is used at any stage. Bajra flakes are dense in minerals, particularly magnesium and iron and have a distinct, slightly strong grain flavor that blends well in cereal mixes and savory chivda preparations. A good foundational flake for health food and grain snack formulations.

Farming Method

Dryland farming on sandy, low-nutrient soil in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. Minimal water requirement. No synthetic fertilisers. Crop rotation with pulses. One of the most heat and drought-tolerant grain crops in India.

Processing Method

Grain cleaned → sun-dried thoroughly → moisture tested → roller-flaked at consistent pressure → bran layer preserved → dried to low moisture → graded by size and packed.

Storage Advice

Store in a cool, dry airtight container. Bajra flakes absorb moisture quickly keep sealed. Once opened, consume within 2 months.
